I don’t know about you, but it’s difficult for me to function as a mom and business woman without coffee. Based on my experience, a great cup of coffee makes all the difference. Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely no judgement here for those who need a quick pick-me-up in the Starbuck’s, Dunkin Donuts, or Krispy Kreme, etc. drive thru. I get it. You do what you gotta do! The coffeeshops listed below are going to provide you with a much more enjoyable “coffee experience” though.
Frothy Monkey – Franklin, TN : Frothy Monkey has five locations around Tennessee, including one in Chattanooga. The location in historic downtown Franklin is located in a quaint old two-story house. They offer delicious and unique seasonal drink specials like the “Golden Monkey” and the “Turtle Latte”. They also serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as cocktails. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Frothy Monkey began roasting their own beans in 2014 through the Frothy Monkey Roasting Company.
Coffee & Coconuts – Franklin, TN: Located in the Berry Farms community in Franklin. “Bringing the beach to Berry Farms!” is what their website claims. It offers a beautiful, airy, and coastal vibe. Tucked into the middle of Berry Farms, you might not notice this local shop if you didn’t know it was there. They are one of the few places around Franklin you can get a Matchless Coffee Soda! If you haven’t tried this refreshing iced coffee beverage, you really should.
High Brow Coffee & Tea – Franklin, TN : Located in upscale Westhaven community in Franklin. They brew Good Folks Coffee from Louisville, KY. They serve coffee & tea beverages, including coffee soda, ice creams, pastries, and more.
Honest Coffee Roasters – Franklin, TN: Located in The Factory at Franklin near historic downtown Franklin. As the name indicates, they roast their beans on site. They offer an intimate and rustic vibe inside the coffeeshop/roaster. Be sure to drop in to get a delightful pour-over when you are grabbing your Five Daughters Bakery signature 100 layer doughnut (yep, you read that correctly 100 layer!) or Jeni’s ice cream at the Factory!
The Fainting Goat Coffeehouse– Spring Hill, TN: Spring Hill is approximately 25 minutes south of downtown Franklin. They offer Muletown Roasted Coffee and cold-brew coffee among other tasty coffee beverages. Located in a charming renovated home on Highway 31/Columbia Pike in Spring Hill.
Muletown Roasted Coffee – Columbia, TN: Located on the scenic square in historic downtown Columbia (about 40 minutes south of Franklin, TN). They roast their own coffee and sell it wholesale also. Friendly and knowledgeable staff offer delicious drink suggestions.
